Adolphe Pétérelle, 1874-1947
Auteur(s) : Lydia Harambourg
Born in 1874 in Geneva, Pétérelle arrived in Paris in 1891. He settled in Montmartre at the Bateau Lavoir in a studio which he left in 1908 for the Cité Falguière where he worked until his death in 1947.
This book allows us to rediscover a strong work, which has gradually fallen into oblivion since Pétérelle's death in 1947, and the great retrospective devoted to him in 1952 at the Musée Galliera.
