This work reproduces the 78 cards of the tarot deck designed by Dalí, on which characters and symbols such as the boatman, the lovers, the moon, death and the empress are artfully depicted, with collages combining drawings, icons and paint stains, as well as an accompanying booklet.
Drawing on Western masterpieces from Antiquity to the modern period (including his own), Dalí has harmoniously blended his esoteric knowledge with his usual fantasy to offer a surrealist kaleidoscope of European art history.
