Donald Judd Furniture

Auteur(s) : Collectif

This book presents over a hundred pieces of furniture created by Donald Judd (1928-1994) between 1970 and 1991. Born out of the renovation of his home and studio at 101 Spring Street in New York, and the difficulties Judd subsequently encountered in furnishing his home in Marfa, Texas, these pieces of furniture illustrate the directness of form that made the artist's artworks so successful, while offering a distinct, unadorned functionality.

The furniture is presented through detailed drawings and material breakdowns, as well as colour photographs that explore their effect in situ.
