At the beginning of his career, Yves Gastou gave a place of honou to Art nouveau and Art deco movements, and then discovered André Arbus in Toulouse in 1972.
In 1985, he opened his Parisian gallery, rue Bonaparte, in which he mixes decorative arts and contemporary design. He exhibited Ron Arad, André Dubreuil, Shiro Kuramata, Ettore Sottsass, Alessandro Mendini, Andrea Branzi, Tom Dixon, Gaetano Pesce, and more recently Zaha Hadid, presented in France for the first time.
This book relates the path of this antique dealer and collector marked by discoveries and re-discoveries which lead him to explore the striking trends of 20th-century decorative arts.
