Not a movement, nor an aesthetic trend, Art deco appears as the sign of a moving modernity, attached to decorative and industrial arts. Appeared after the plastic progress of the early 20th century - mostly Cubism - Art deco highlights the change while asserting against modernity and “modernists”.
This book pays tribute to the young antiquarians who, in the early 1970s, rediscovered, supported and defended Art deco, by establishing it on the antique market.
