Le Goût Pour Les Porcelaines De Chine Et Du Japon À Paris Aux Xviie Et Xviiie Siècles

Auteur(s) : Stéphane Castelluccio

From the end of the 17th century, importations of porcelain from China and Japan diversified, and the new generations rejected the accumulation of blues and whites to prefer polychrome pieces and celadons. People who loved them mixed these pieces with their collections of paintings and bronzes, appreciating the contrast of materials.

This book, realised from unpublished archives, recounts the commercial trades, evolution of taste and use of China and Japan porcelain during the 17th and 18th century in Paris.
