L'art En France De La Renaissance Aux Lumières

Auteur(s) : Michèle-Caroline Heck

From the « beau Siècle » to the Age of Enlightenment, creation in France was characterized by the apparition of a new modernity in art. Through major works in architecture, painting, sculpture, and decorative arts, this book aims to study the emergence of this new artistic culture, made with references to Antiquity and Italian Renaissance painting, imported at the dawn of Modern Times by Italian artists called at François Ier's court, and who, blending into local traditions, created original shapes.
