Nahmad Giverny : La Collection Nahmad, de Monet à Picasso

Nouveauté

Auteur(s) : Collectif

Exhibition at the Musée des Impressionnismes, Giverny, 28 March - 29 June 2025

Since the 1960s, David Nahmad and his brothers Ezra and Joe have built up a unique body of work, driven by a sincere passion and deep respect for the artists he admires.
Unlike many collectors, who are often jealous of their treasures, David Nahmad and his family generously open the doors to their world. Their masterpieces, which span a period from the mid-nineteenth century to contemporary art, travel the world, and French institutions have often had the privilege of hosting them.

This exhibition catalogue presents a selection of some sixty works, with a particular focus on the art of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, centred on the Impressionist movement, its predecessors and immediate successors, from Delacroix to Picasso, and including Sisley, Pissarro, Monet, Renoir, Toulouse-Lautrec, Redon and Matisse.
