In this book, Fernando Montes de Oca considers, among other topics, the existence of a French school of engraved glass (verre gravé de Paris), whose main period is from 1800 to 1830. He studies cut glass, the forms of the Napoleon I glassworks, the forms of the Restoration glassworks and the subjects and symbols of the decoration of engraved and cut glass.
