This 2-volume book presents a monograph and the catalogue raisonné of the works of the French painter Gérard Schlosser (1931-). His paintings consecrate the beauty of the bodies and of the nature, with a simultaneously social, political and existential depth. Through an intimist narrative figuration, the artist uses a realist-style language and pays particular attention to the human beings, their attitudes and their aspirations to happiness.
