In this exhibition catalogue, first retrospective in France devoted to the fashion designer, Chanel style and its evolution from 1910 to 1971 are decoded through various themes, each introduced by a short text and illustrated with emblematic photographs. The book gives an insight into the designer's contribution to the history of fashion; it is completed by a short biography, archive documents and portraits.
