Created in 1964 in close collaboration with the architect Josep Luis Sert and the major artists of the period, including Braque, Chagall, Bonnard and Miró, the Maeght Foundation reflects a passion for modern and contemporary art. The collection has been continually enriched by works from new generations of artists: Tàpies, Chillida, Ubac, Riopelle, Germaine Richier, etc.
This first volume of the catalogue of the Maeght collection presents a selection of the foundation's key works, work by work. It includes the Braque basin, Giacometti's L'Homme qui marche and the Miró labyrinth sculptures.
