This exhibition catalogue is based on Paul Valéry's book, Degas Danse Dessin. It presents Degas and Valéry through figurative and archival documents and then evokes, through numerous drawings by the former and the famous notebooks of the latter, the importance of these productions which were the crucible of their art.
