Aldo Rossi : Design 1960-1997 Catalogo Ragionato = Catalogue Raisonné

Auteur(s) : Chiara Spangaro (dir.)

The first Italian to win the prestigious Pritzker Prize (1990), Milanese Aldo Rossi (1931-1997) is one of the most outstanding architects and designers in Italian history.

With Alessi, Arte, Artemide, Bruno Longoni Atelier d'arredamento, Designtex, Molteni&C, Richard-Ginori, Rosenthal, UniFor and Up Group, Rossi created iconic furniture and "objects of affection" linked to his architecture and experimented with shapes and colours in works made of metal and wood, marble and other stones, ceramics and porcelain, handmade and industrial fabrics, and plastic materials.

This catalogue raisonné presents for the first time all of Aldo Rossi's creations. It brings together about 70 industrial and handcrafted objects and furniture, illustrated by Rossi's drawings, studies and texts, as well as prototypes and documents relating to the collaboration between the Milanese architect-designer-theorist and the companies that worked with him.
