The mystery of Picasso's work lies in the continuous movement of his metamorphoses. He is the prolific artist whose writing is unmistakable yet elusive.

This exhibition catalogue is designed as a reference manual on the artist covering his entire career. It offers an overview in fourteen key dates of Picasso's metamorphoses. These pivotal moments, during which he reworked his vocabulary, invented new processes and codified a new style, are presented with the help of a rich iconography and a chronology. The historical texts are introduced by transversal essays that provide a general and original point of view on Picasso's work and approach.
