Since the 1960s successive générations of the Nahmad family have built up an unrivalled private collection comprising several thousand works of art from the 19th and 20th centuries. Picasso occupies a very spécial place in this collection.

In this exhibition catalogue, essays by leading Picasso specialists offer an expanded reading of these works from the perspective of the subjects specific to the artist's production: classicism, the still life, landscape, the figure, the artist in his studio and the painter and his model. A retrospective look at Picasso's art, through a precise and rare selection of more than 116 masterpieces, revealed to the public for the first time.
