Exhibition « Mobi Boom » at the Musée des Arts décoratifs, Paris, 23 September 2010 - 2 January 2011

Born in Le Havre, son and grandson of seamen, Marcel Gascoin (1907-1986) has been influenced since his youth by the precision of the interior fitting of ships. Member of the UAM since 1931, creator of a range of modulaire kitchens commercialized in 1945 under the label Comera, coordinator of the town-planning and living Exhibition in the Grand Palais in 1947, he was involved a few years later in the reconstruction of Le Havre under Auguste Perret's aegis, before creating the brand Rangement Gascoin and fouding the Arhec.

This book was realised from the very important collection kept at the library of the Arts Décoratifs museum.
