Exhibition at the Musée Bonnard, Le Cannet, 7 July - 3 November 2019
Since the early 1960s, David Nahmad's family has made a major contribution to protecting the great history of painting and artists by sharing it with as many people as possible.
In this exhibition catalogue, over 40 works from the Nahmad collection are brought together. The greatest names in modern art are brought together, from the masters of Pre-Impressionism and Impressionism (Boudin, Monet, Renoir, Sisley, Degas, Zandomeneghi), to Picasso and Matisse, via the Bonnard Nabis, Toulouse-Lautrec, the Fauves (Marquet, Dufy), the Cubists (Braque, Gris) and the School of Paris (Modigliani, Kisling, Pascin). The book highlights the links between the artistic currents of the different periods, while illustrating the contribution of each of these artists to the history of art.
