Exhibition at the Musée Zervos, Vézelay, 3 July - 19 September 2021
Founder of the Editions Cahiers d'art, Christian Zervos played a decisive role in the history of 20th century art and in particular in the career of Pablo Picasso. When he died in 1970, the art critic bequeathed his personal archives and his collection to the town of Vézelay, which can be seen today in the museum that bears his name.
This exhibition catalogue highlights the relationship between Picasso and Zervos through a selection of engravings and drawings made during the 1930s, 1940s and 1960s, as well as archival documents.
