This exhibition catalogue presents a selection of works of art including paintings, sculptures, furniture, objects, fabrics and jewellery that bring to life the spirit and atmosphere of the imperial court, organised around the personality of Napoleon I and conceived as a political and ideological instrument to ensure the legitimacy of the regime.
