This book presents more than 500 objects and documents regarding Napoleon and belonging Bruno Ledoux's collection, that became in twenty years one of the most important in the world: goldsmithing by Biennais and Odiot, Sèvres porcelain, miniatures by the greatest painters as Isabey or Augustin, manuscripts, books with bindings by Bozerian, weapons or historical memories. Among these objects, exceptional pieces but also intimate objects, testifying of the Emperor's everyday life.
Commented by seven famous historians, this book recounts almost a century of history, since the last years of the Old Regime to the exile in Saint Helena.
