Mumuye, Sculptures Du Nigéria : La Figure Humaine Réinventée

The presentation of some thirty Mumuye masks, objects and carved figures from public and private collections, emblematic of historical African art. The book analyzes their role as symbols of social rank and their links to ancestor veneration, as well as their use in healing and divination practices.
