Louyse (ou Louise) Moillon (1610-1696), often wrongly attached to the Dutch school, belongs to the few women who left their name in the history of painting. She is one of the first-rank artists in her style, the still-life painting with fruits.
This book by Dominique Alsina is the result of twenty years of researches. After an analysis of Moillon's work, the author establishes a catalogue raisonné of sixty-nine authentic paintings and also a catalogue of rejected works.
