Although unknown from the public as from the specialists, the drawing collections of the Musée des Arts décoratifs is among the richest in the world. It counts around 200.000 works, from the 15th to the 21st century.
This book, organised as an ABC, is the catalogue of the exhibition gathers a selection of 500 works coming from the museum collections. Drafts by greats masters, as Le Brun, Watteau, Fragonard, Rodin or Degas, stand alongside drawings by architects and decorators - as Emilio Terry, Mallet-Stevens, Jean Royère or Pierre Chareau -, and productions by cabinetmakers or fashion or jewellery houses.
