Five hundred years after the artist's death, this new catalogue raisonné - definitive in the current state of knowledge - brings together all the surviving paintings and drawings by Hieronymus Bosch (ca. 1450-1516), as studied by the Bosch Research and Conservation Project. Six years of scientific research into his life and iconography, as well as the techniques, pedigree and conservation history of his paintings, have resulted in a new definition of his genius and mastery.

This volume presents the most recent data on his paintings and drawings, accompanied by new and previously unpublished photographs. The incredible creativity of this late medieval artist, reflected in countless details, is thus exposed in depth for the first time.
