Gauguin Et L'école De Pont-Aven

This monograph studies the role played by Pont-Aven in the history of 19th century art. Many artists settled there, notably Paul Gauguin, who influenced many of the artists of this school by introducing them to his mode of expression, synthetism, the first stage in the genesis of modern art in the 20th century.
