Auteur(s) : Collectif

Exhibition at the Fondation Dina Vierny-Musée Maillol, Paris, 14 March - 15 July 2012

This catalogue of the retrospective devoted to Artemisia Gentileschi allows us to understand the evolution of her art: the Roman beginnings at the side of her father Orazio, the Florentine years under the protection of the Duke of Medici and the friendship of Galileo, the return to Rome where she asserted herself as the leader of the Caravaggio painters, and finally the Neapolitan period.
