Tadema Gallery London: Jewellery From The 1860S To 1960S

Auteur(s) : Beatriz Chadour Sampson, Sonya Newell Smith

Tadema Gallery, specialised in 20th century abstract art and 19th and 20th century decorative arts, was founded in 1978 by photojournalists Sonya and David Newell-Smith in Islington's Camden Passage in London.

In 1982, the founders discovered a passion for artists' jewellery and presented in the gallery an eclectic selection of jewellery by important designers from the Revivalist, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Jugendstil, Art Deco and Modernist movements.

Bringing together over 500 unique pieces of jewellery from the 1860s to the 1960s, this book reflects the forty-year history of the Tadema Gallery and the expert eye of its founders.
