Paolo Scheggi : Catalogo Ragionato

Auteur(s) : Luca Massimo Barbero

After studying art, Paolo Scheggi (1940-1971) began bold experimentation that quickly led him to move beyond the informal art movement. Starting in 1961 in Milan, he began closely collaborating with Germana Marucelli, pioneer of Italian fashion, and slowly became part of the city's art scene, attracting the attention of Lucio Fontana in 1962 and of some of the most influential art critics of the age, from Argan to Bucarelli, Belloli to Celant, Dorfles to Kultermann.
This catalogue raisonné of Paolo Scheggi's art illustrates his lively and incessant interdisciplinary research, by presenting over 600 works with a detailed cataloguing of his environmental works, maquettes, and performances.
