Louis Benech began his career as a landscape designer in 1985. Five years later, he was commissioned with Pascal Cribier and François Roubaud to redesign the old part of the Tuileries Gardens. Since then, Louis Benech has designed and carried out more than 300 public and private projects in France, Korea, Panama, Canada, the United States, Greece and Morocco. For each of his projects, the landscape architect strives to create a true harmony between the landscape project and the architectural or natural environment of the site.
This book presents twelve gardens created in France by Louis Benech, including the Garden of the Sun and Clouds at the Château de Villandry, Nicolas Forestier Square in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, the park of a property in Sologne, a project in Burgundy in the footsteps of Russell Page and the garden of the Château de Pange. Twelve extremely different gardens that reflect the facets of a talent recognised throughout the world.
