Lacloche Joailliers

Auteur(s) : Laurence Mouillefarine, Véronique Rustelhueber

Exhibition at the Ecole des Arts Joailliers, Paris, October 23rd - December 20th, 2019

Created in 1892, the Maison Lacloche has been for more than seven decades one of the glories of Parisian jewellery. After modest beginnings in rue de Châteaudun, it settled rue de la Paix, with branches in London, Madrid, Nice, Biarritz, Cannes, Deauville... The Lacloches knew a meteoric rise from the Belle Epoque, seducing royals as well as aristocrats and Hollywood.
Based on family archives and on two unpublished albums with gouaches of jewels, boxes and clocks realized for 1925 International Exhibition, this first monograph highlights the jeweller's creations, from Art nouveau and Art déco to the 1960s.
