This exhibition catalogue presents the fruitful searches, united or sometimes conflicting, of Russian artists from 1908 to 1928.

Chagall, Malevicz, Gontcharova, Larionov and around forty other artists are studied, not only through their links and oppositions, but also by the links the created between the different artistic movements to which they belonged: neo-primitivism, cubo-futurism, constructivism...
