Auteur(s) : Marie-Hélène Benetière

This volume on the garden and its aesthetic as well as technical components methodically lists all the terms - around three thousand words in common, scientific, professional and literary language - used to analyse and describe all the elements that make up a garden.

The first part identifies the different components of a garden: relief, cover and uncovered areas, paths of communication, decorative waters, buildings, ornaments and furniture, and fittings.

The second part presents the techniques specific to the garden, describing the layout and layout of the land. This is followed by a look at the soil, with definitions of the main types of soil, fertilisation methods and tools. Plant biology is followed by sowing and planting procedures, plant propagation, forestry techniques and, finally, the shape and form of plants.
