12 Vendôme : La Maison Chaumet

Auteur(s) : Pierre Morio

The founders of Chaumet, Marie-Étienne Nitot and his son François-Regnault, were the official suppliers to Napoleon I and Josephine, the true icon and inspiration of Chaumet. They set up shop on the Place Vendôme in 1812 and adorned the crowned heads with their most beautiful diadems and jewellery. Located at 12 Place Vendôme, the recently restored Hôtel Baudard de Saint-James, the heart of the Chaumet company since 1907, sums up the quintessence of the famous jeweller.

This book invites to a unique discovery behind the scenes of Chaumet, allowing you to discover its secrets and soul. From the shop to the Haute Joaillerie workshops, through the classified salons, it tells the story of the House from its origins.
