CHAUMET : Regards de photographes

Nouveauté

Auteur(s) : Carol Woolton, Sylvie Lécallier, Flora Triebel

Chaumet, a famous house of fine jewellery, has long had close ties with photography. Throughout the ages and according to their artistic sensibilities, the great photographers have taken up the challenge of sublimating the House's creations with virtuosity. Glamorous, romantic, dreamlike, naturalist or minimalist, these images are all snapshots that, from the 1930s to the present day, offer a superb retrospective of fashion and its indispensable accessory, jewellery.

The book features generous portfolios of Chaumet's landmark press editorials and emblematic commissions from more than 70 leading photographers, including Henry Clarke, Guy Bourdin, Mario Testino, Mario Sorrenti, Richard Burbridge and Karim Sadli. The final section, devoted to precious autochromes of iconic pieces dating from the early 20th century, offers a unique look at Chaumet's historical archives.
