Villa Balbiano, on the shores of Lake Como, reached its heyday at the end of the 18th century, when it had Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini as owner. It was recently restored by French architect Jacques Garcia.
This book recounts the history of these important architectural realization. Over time, the villa became richer and more beautiful, with the construction of new parts of the building, the realization of new frescoes and statues, and of vaster and majestic gardens.
