Simon Hantaï

Auteur(s) : Ágnes Berecz

This two-volume book is devoted to the Hungary-born painter Simon Hantaï (1922-2008). It recounts his whole career and the multiple 20th-century artistic ways he used: Surrealism, Abstraction, gestural or scriptural paintings, foldings...
Each volume is divided in two parts: a first one monographic, then a second one devoted to the works; the first volume studies the 1949-1959 period, and the second one is devoted to the years 1960-2001. This work is the most complete book ever published on Simon Hantaï.
