François Benoit-Lison : Catalogue Raisonné Des Oeuvres Peintes 1998-2021

Auteur(s) : Axel Rondouin

Since the late 1980s, François Benoît-Lison (1968-) has been creating works marked by research, reflection and philosophy.

Initially inspired by a figurative approach, his work has gradually evolved into lyrical abstraction, then more contrasting, where black reigns supreme, even when it is combined with other colours. Works by Caravaggio, Pollock, Schiele, Soulages and Marfaing are major references for the artist.

This catalogue raisonné, the only reference work on Benoit-Lison's work, covers most of the artist's output from 1998 to 2021, and traces his career over 25 years.
