Camille Pissarro : Le Premier Des Impressionnistes

Auteur(s) : sous la direction de Claire Durand-Ruel Snollaerts et Christophe Duvivier

Exhibition at the Musée Marmottan-Claude Monet, Paris, 23 February - 2 July 2017

Considered by Cézanne as « the first Impressionist », Camille Pissarro (1830-1903) was one of the founders of the movement. He also was the only one to be part of their eight exhibitions.
This catalogue of the first monographic exhibition devoted to Camille Piassarro in Paris in 36 years presents seventy-five of his masterworks, paintings and temperas, coming from the greatest museums worldwide and from prestigious private collections. They retrace Pissarro's work, from his youth in the Danish Antilles to the great urban scenes in Paris, Rouen and Le Havre at the end of his life.
