Born in Livorno, Tuscany, in 1869, Alfredo Müller died in Paris in 1939. In a period of high nationalism, his indefectible attachment to both Italy and France marginalized his painting.
After the publication of the volume on the graphic work, this new catalogue raisonné allows to seize the coherence and the originality of the work - Tuscan, then French, then Tuscan again - of an artist of great interiority, faithful in friendship and haunted by his favourite themes. It includes oil paintings on canvas, wood, cardboard or hardboard.
