Agostino Bonalumi (1935-2013) began his artistic career after technical studies. He exhibited for the first time in 1956, before creating in 1958, along with Enrico Castellani and Piero Manzoni, what would become the ephemeral revue Azimuth. In 1959 he invented the estroflessione - shaped canvas -, technique he developed all along his career and that made him internationally famous.
This publication contains a first monographic volume, which examines also the cultural context within which he worked for over half a century, and a catalogue raisonné of the almost two thousand works created from his debut to his death.
